Make a Difference Today
We are a small group of Parents Carers living within the Square Mile. Our children have a range of conditions, and we believe that it is vital to have a diverse range of parents and family care givers involved in the forum so we are able to confidently represent families within the City of London.
Our meetings are relaxed and we like to have a friendly balance of formal and informal elements. We usually meet once a month for a few hours where we discuss how to improve services for the SEND community in our area of London. We are developing a Co-production framework with the Local Authority which is enabling us to work together in comfort.
The demands of being a parent carer can sometimes be overwhelming and this is often made worse by services that fail to support our family needs. If you believe in a creating change through a unified approach, if you feel that working with service providers to create change has benefit, and if you think there is strength in numbers, then please drop us an email on email@example.com
We look forward to seeing you in one of our meetings!
Parent and Carers
It is free to become a member of the City Parent Carer Forum and we actively seek new members so we can represent the needs of parents and carers with children and young people with special needs. We seek members who are also foster parents, adoptive parents, and grandparents. You do not need to actively participate in the Parent Forum but if wish to, please let us know as we would love to hear from you. As a member, we will ask your opinion and take that into account with our work.
It is easy to join!
Volunteer your time
We wholeheartedly welcome volunteers of a wide range of ages and different walks of life who can donate their time and help us to run the forum and organising our on-going activities and special events. We need all kinds of skills! … and if you have a story and wish to write a blog related to living and/or working with SEND we would be happy to host it in our web site.
